Guitar Teacher | Bach to Rock® Music School – Herndon, VA
Love guitar? Love people? Bach to Rock® Herndon is looking for a passionate Guitar Teacher to join our team of professional musician-educators at our studio in the WorldGate Centre.
At Bach to Rock, we do music education differently. Students pick the songs they love — from rock and pop to blues, acoustic, and beyond — and you help them fall in love with playing. You'll teach private one-on-one lessons to students of all ages, from young beginners to adults, in a fun, professional, and supportive school environment.
What You'll Do:
- Teach private guitar lessons across all skill levels (beginner to advanced)
- Cover a broad range of styles: rock, pop, acoustic, electric, blues, country, classical
- Use Bach to Rock's structured curriculum as a foundation while personalizing lessons to each student
- Track student progress and maintain open communication with parents
- Bring energy, reliability, and genuine enthusiasm to every lesson
Schedule & Availability:
- Weekday afternoons and evenings (approx. 3PM–9PM)
- Saturdays (9AM–5PM)
- Flexible — we work around your performance and gigging schedule
Compensation — Tiered by Experience:
- Tier 1 (Developing Instructor): $17–$18/hr
- Tier 2 (Established Instructor): $18–$20/hr
- Tier 3 (Advanced/Specialist): $20–$22/hr
- Tier 4 (Senior/Expert): $22–$25/hr
Your tier is determined by your education, teaching history, and performance background — and there's a clear path to grow.
Who We're Looking For:
- Strong guitar proficiency across multiple styles
- Prior teaching experience is a plus, but we welcome emerging instructors with the right drive
- Comfortable and patient with students of all ages, especially children
- Reliable transportation to our Herndon studio
- Must pass a background check
- Currently gigging, recording, or performing? We love working musicians.

Bach to Rock (“B2R”) Herndon is a modern, performance-based music school offering private lessons, group classes, bands and ensembles, early childhood programs, camps, and community events. We teach students from early childhood through adults across many instruments and styles, combining structured music education with real-world performance opportunities.
