About the Piano Instructor Role
We are hiring a Piano Instructor to teach private lessons and occasional small groups. Students range from beginners through advanced. We prioritize instructors who can teach strong fundamentals including technique, reading, rhythm, and musicianship while keeping lessons engaging and goal oriented.
What You'll Do
- Teach 30 and 60 minute private piano lessons.
- Build lesson plans tailored to student age, level, and goals.
- Teach fundamentals including technique, posture, hand position, reading, rhythm, and repertoire.
- Prepare students for recitals and performance opportunities.
- Communicate professionally with parents and adult students about progress and practice.
- Maintain consistent weekly availability and reliable attendance.
What We're Looking For
- Strong piano proficiency across beginner through intermediate levels at minimum.
- Teaching experience and or youth leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Comfortable working with kids and families.
- Reliable transportation to our location.
- Ability to commit to a consistent weekly schedule, especially weekday afternoons/evenings and Saturdays.

Schedule & Pay
- Part-time, hourly (lesson-based schedule; hours vary with enrollment).
- Peak hours: weekday afternoons/evenings and Saturdays.
- Pay is tiered based on education and experience:
- Tier 1 (Entry/Developing): $17–$18/hr
- Tier 2 (Established): $18–$20/hr
- Tier 3 (Advanced/Specialist): $20–$22/hr
